In the past I have been given tools to approach various states of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, but not the space to sit with them, be uncomfortable and exam them. You gave me the space to do that, the tools and the coaching to support me through it all. I appreciate how you tailored the therapy to my needs and circumstances, taking into account all aspects of my life - without judgement. You listened with compassion and empathy, and helped guide me to my own solutions to the challenges I face.
Thank you doesn't seem to be enough, but thank you all the same

I was fortunate enough to have some coaching sessions with Dan last year. The aim of looking to move my career forward. His blended approach of counselling and coaching was invaluable to me and I believe I benefitted more from having a combination of both. I have made significant progress in the last 12 months and I honestly wouldn’t have got there without Dan.
Thank you!

‘To be honest, looking back feels like a blur. A blur that blanketed me through Covid to Long Covid and out the other end. Yet, one of the few sharp points of focus for me during the worst of it all was… Dan Loftus.’

“Dan has been a great support network in getting me back to my near self. I’m still not 100% but I’ve learnt how to pace and believe in myself and without his support and guidance, I really don’t think I would be where I am now’

‘What I valued, above all, was the way Dan held and grew that encouraging space during that time. When my world had collapsed from under my feet, Dan’s attitude and ongoing health mentoring made me hang on to a deep sense of dignity throughout it all. He still saw me for who I was - despite how little I could do’

You are a fantastic therapist, who has contributed towards helping with pacing strategies, changing my mindset and thoughts. ‘Thank you so much for showing me that there is another (slower) way to live! I have felt supported and have learnt so much about how to manage my illness and how to pick myself up after the hard days and move forward…for all of this I am eternally grateful.’

It was clear, he was compassionate, insightful and a knowledgeable practitioner. He was able to challenge and investigate my symptoms and anxieties in a holistic way. Without his guidance, and acumen, I would have continued to see my condition from a purely medicalised perspective. It was clear Dan took time to listen in a way that saw beyond the usual, and he was unafraid to check and probe, but in a truly supportive way. I am so grateful for the sessions we had, as I know he has made a difference for me which will last my lifetime.

When I first met Dan I was in a very difficult place. So many long COViD symptoms to deal with significantly affecting my quality of life…My symptoms included weakness, fatigue, brain fog, cognitive dysfunction, dis-regulated sleep and the anxiety levels were becoming overwhelming and the family home was a mess. His input was absolutely invaluable for getting my life back and to accept the new normal, he taught me so many strategies to help with sleep, trauma management, fatigue, memory, acceptance and organisation…Dan has been so important in planning my return to work and I am now on a phased return after 20 months off… I want to say a heart felt thank you to Dan for all his commitment and help. You were outstanding.
